About ProPlug

ProPlug began with a problem every FJ sailor knows about. Here is how the product came about, how it is made, and who we build it for.

From Tennis Balls to ProPlug™

If you’ve ever rigged an FJ, you know the struggle — a soggy tennis ball jammed in the transom for a drain plug. It works, but it doesn’t look good and it’s a pain to use. After one too many swamped boats, we decided sailors deserved better. That’s where ProPlug was born: a lightweight, watertight, and sustainable upgrade built specifically for Flying Junior sailboats.

Made by Sailors, for Sailors

We’re sailors who got tired of dealing with soggy tennis balls and set out to design a plug that actually LOOKS good. ProPlugs have been tested on the water, refined through real racing and practice sessions, and built to make your time on the water smoother and drier.

Our Commitment to the Ocean

Sailors depend on clean water. That’s why every ProPlug is made from 100% recyclable ocean plastic. Your team can reduce your environmental impact by choosing ProPlugs instead of tennis balls. Choosing ProPlug means you’re reducing plastic pollution while upgrading your boat.

Supporting the Sailing Community

From high school fleets to college teams and yacht clubs, we believe sailing programs deserve gear that lasts. ProPlug isn’t just a product — it’s a way for teams to show spirit with custom logos, reduce waste, and look GOOD on the water!
